Hey guys, I know its been awhile.

I was just passing through and was wondering if anyone else is just a little bit concerned about Ringo? I just read an article somewhere that he lashed out at a fan when she came up to him. He told her to fuck off.

And then of course there was that whole fan mail mess.

So why is he so angry? I'm worried.

Yeah we've been talking about Ringos recent behavior quite extensively in the News section.

I think everyone has come to the conculusion that this is very strange behavior for the usually most aminable Beatle. Something seems to have snapped with him recently but no one really has any answers. All i can say, is that he doing himself no favours and jepordising the Beatles legacy that he is so proud of.

Theres something wrong and I hope that is able to sort it out quickly. he hasnt apologised for th email debacle yet and he needs to do that.

Im wondering if he has started drinking again?

Yeah, I dunno what's wrong with Ringo. He definitely seems to be going through a grumpy old man phase at the moment. Here's hoping he works through it soon, its pretty distressing to read that he's being so awful to fans on the street. He's had to deal with it for 45 years, so why this rather nasty behaviour now? What's changed?

This is such a rubbish situation. I have no idea what's changed with ringo. On the one hand i'm worried for him because it's very out of character which suggests something might be bad with his personal life. However, even if that is the case, that is NOT an excuse for the way he's acting. If this carries in for much longer i'm going to write to him. I know he's chucking his fan mail out but I wonder if he still reads his hate mail?

I wonder about his drinking too. When did he go to rehab in the late 80s? I don't know much about it.

I did write him a letter after the whole fiasco of him not accepting fan mail after a certain date, and he ended up apologising for that on his site... I hadn't heard about him snapping at a fan, when did that happen?

I doubt that he's started drinking again, he's got way too many people looking out for him there... I think he just got sick of everyone associating him only with the Beatles... no-one ever seems to give a flying flip about his solo work, and very few people respect him for what he's done for the drumming world, let alone the world in general. Seriously, you wouldn't believe how many people I've met recently (drummers nonetheless) who have no idea that Ringo is still releasing albums let alone touring. And also, very few people know that he sold more albums in the 70's than John, Paul or George. People have no respect for him as a solo artist because they've never heard most of his solo work. They hear 'Photograph' and think, "George Harrison wrote that." George co-wrote that song, and he's said before that Ringo wrote a majority of it. Anyway, that's my soap box and I support Ringo in that he wants to break away and have more of a solo career. He's the only one that isn't well respected for his solo music, and only because no one plays it. I've also decided to boycott the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame until he is added in his own right... he's been on the list for years and they always put random worthless artists in, instead of Ringo... sorry, wandering on the soap box again.

Could be, in fact, the real problem behind this. I mean, it is kind of a bit childish to act like that but I guess he's really fed up with that. I can understand him at some point.
