You guys have done all this before, so I thought you'd be the BEST PEOPLE IN THE WHOLE WORLD to ask:

When you're posting to You Tube, does it usually take a day or two before it comes up?

I tried to post a 7.5 minute vid with a song last night but it still isn't showing. Admittedly it took about an hour per minute (so around 7.5 hours) for it to upload onto my facebook page ok, and I imagine there's all sorts of queuing for bandwith that goes on, but I can't help feeling the whole thing has all gone terribly, terribly wrong.

Meanwhile, I've left the PC on all night and it's still on now while I'm at work, but I do expect to be able to turn it off again one day.

Any words of experience or advice gratefully received.

(Apart from "you should have started with something shorter", which will have me hurling something at you, probably my lunch :p )

sounds s if there is something wrong. It should only take a couple of minutes to load up on YT and should be available to watch and appear in your profile as soon as its loaded ,so i would have another go. Didnt know you were on facebook. Me and ben are on there too. feel free to add me. laters

Cool! I'll track you guys down later There are a couple of work colleagues on there who lower the tone a bit, it'll be good to have FB friends with a bit of wit about them

The FB experience is pretty new to me, I just joined a couple of months ago for a very specific reason, but it's a handy place to post things and invite folk to view it.

I'll try YT again later, but FB took about 8 hours to upload it, too. The file was about a GB, I think. Just on the limit, anyway. Maybe YT doesn't like files that size, I dunno.

maybe a gig is too big for YT, im not sure. I'll pm you
